Concussion Baseline Testing- Parents have the option to have your student-athlete complete a baseline test for concussions. It is optional. What it does is allow the medical staff to have a baseline to compare to if your child gets a concussion. It allows the medical personnel to compare a current test to the initial test in order to diagnose concussions and to monitor the recovery progress. If you want your child to do the baseline test click HERE for the consent form and the information on how the test works and on the program we are currently using for testing.
The Madison Board of Education is proud to sponsor athletic programs for the young adults in the school district. We recognize the importance and connection athletics has on academics and how lessons learned in the athletic arena transfer to the classroom and life beyond high school. “Expect… Believe… and Achieve…” is not only the mission for Madison High School students, but for Madison High School athletes as well.
The purpose of the athletic department is to manage home events and aid all of the programs in areas of equipment purchase, qualification and certification of coaches, scheduling, fund-raising, arranging transportation, monitoring eligibility for student-athletes, and the assigning of officials for home contests. We are also responsible, along with the administration, for maintaining compliance with the regulations set by the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), our conference, and the Madison Board of Education.
