State law requires that a statewide education management information system (EMIS) exists to collect and report data about students, staff and finances of each public school district.
Mrs. Maurer coordinates the district's data processing and reporting functions and serves as the district-wide resource person for the Education Management Information System.
Troubleshooting district hardware and software problems pertaining to EMIS and providing training and in-service to the district's staff in the use of related EMIS programs is incorporated within her responsibilities.
Data collection, verification and entry processes in well-maintained records are key to the efficient transmission of data mandated under state guidelines.
