Welcome to Madison Local Schools!

Principal's Message

Welcome back for the 2018-2019 school year :-) I hope that you will utilize the Madison High School website.  As I reflect back on the first week of school, I want to thank all staff, parents, and students for an outstanding start to this school year.  I look forward to the many upcoming activities, programs, and athletic events.  Here are a couple of reminders of upcoming items:

1)  This week will begin our 'Late Arrival' Tuesdays (August 21st . . . school begins at 9:00 am).  If students need to take the bus or parents need to drop off their child, students will be supervised in study halls for that hour.  The focus of the majority of our professional development during these morning sessions will be on 'Mental Helath Issues and Supports for Teenagers';\

2)  It won't be long but look forward to coming to our first Parent/Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, September 12th (3:10 pm to 6:30 pm w/dinner break for staff from 4:00 - 4:30).

Madison Varsity Football Attends SES Literacy Night

Thank you to the Madison Blue Streaks for participating in our recent Family Literacy Night at South Elementary School. Players read to students, participated in fun activities, and made the whole night memorable for the 400 people in attendance. Thank you also to all our sponsors and volunteers, including Thompson/Grand River Valley KOA, Ponyland Pony Parties, and the Madison Public Library.

Madison Schools Celebrates National School Lunch Week

Madison Schools celebrated National School Lunch Week (NSLW) from October 14-18. National School Lunch Week was created in 1962 by President John F. Kennedy to celebrate and child nutrition and the importance of a healthy lunch in a child’s life. Healthy meals impact every aspect of a child’s life, both in and out of the classroom.
