Voting for Classroom Connect Spirit Award Extended
MADISON – Although students and staff at Madison High School did not receive the verdict they wanted in May regarding a $25,000 grant they hoped Windstream would award the school for upgrading technology, all is not lost. Voting has been extended from now until September 7. Cast your vote today and everyday from now until the deadline.
The MHS video submitted for the Classroom Connection grant - which was a group effort between teacher Shane Hamilton, students in his classes, AV student Nevin Hocking and AV teacher Emily Grau depicting the need for better classroom technology - was chosen in May to compete online against 30 other schools from across the nation for one of ten $5,000 “Spirit Award” grants.
The 10 winners were originally to be chosen via online voting from May through August 17 with the winners being announced in September. Only one vote can be cast from each computer daily.
Let's rally around this effort and bring the grant home to MHS!
